Wake Up Weekends · Returning 2027

Wake Up Weekends are coming home.

Steven E has opened his own home, again and again, to people with a book inside them. In 2027, the doors open again. By invitation. Apply to join.

01 / What a retreat is

Not a conference. A weekend in a home.

At Wake Up, there has only ever been one conversation: becoming a successful author. Our retreats moved that conversation out of the office and into Steven E's home.

No badges. No breakout rooms. No one reading off slides. Just a small circle around the table, by the pool and out on the deck, talking honestly about the book you're meant to write and the life it can open up.

You arrive carrying an idea. You leave wide awake to it.

02 / The estate

The Wake Up Estate.

The Wake Up Estate isn't a rented venue. It's Steven E's own Spanish-style home: a tiled-roof house among the palms, a pool that catches the morning light, and a wide deck that looks out over the hills as the sun goes down.

Guests have kicked off their shoes at the door, curled up on the living room floor and stayed out on the deck long after the sky went dark.

It feels like being a guest at a friend's house, because that's exactly what it is.

03 / Past weekends

What a Wake Up Weekend felt like.

No two weekends were the same. Here are a few moments guests still talk about.

Moment 01

Sound and stillness.

Crystal singing bowls filling the living room, everyone on the floor, eyes closed, letting the week fall away.

Moment 02

Music that moves you.

A live violinist and dancers turned the living room and the deck into a stage, until nobody stayed in their seat.

Moment 03

Golden-hour conversations.

Everyone gathered on the deck as the sun went down, and guests stood to share their stories and their thanks with the whole circle.

Moment 04

The table.

Shared meals in the kitchen, fresh fruit, and the kind of conversation that only happens when nobody is rushing off to a session.

Moment 05

The work.

Time with Steven E on the questions that matter most. What's your book? Who is it for? And what will it open for you?

04 / Who it's for

Who it's for.

  • 01Leaders, founders and experts who know there's a book in them.
  • 02Speakers, coaches and creators whose story already fills a room.
  • 03First-time authors ready to turn an idea into a plan.
  • 04Published authors who want their book to work harder: on stage, in business and in the room.
  • 05Anyone who would rather be inspired by a small circle than lost in a crowd.

You don't need a finished manuscript. Some guests arrive with a rough idea; some arrive with a Pocket Authority Book, our true 4x6 pocket-size book, already in their bag. What everyone shares is the readiness to wake up to what's next.

05 / The return

Returning in 2027.

Steven E hosted retreats at the estate regularly, then stepped away. In 2027, Wake Up Weekends return.

Dates, details and the invitation process go to the interest list first. Seats at the table are limited by the size of a home, not a ballroom, so every invitation is personal.
